The festival theme of “participation contribution and sharing happiness” is encompassed in outdoor events every weekend in fields of culture art and sports. There’ll also be concerts and exhibitions. The car park and campsite are under several inches of water after Sunday night’s deluge. rganisers said they had no option but to call off the three-day event which was due to begin this Friday. Ticket-holders have been told they will be contacted about refunds. The Folk Music Festival which runs alongside the event is also off. Festival director Clive Fields said the cancellation was disappointing but the car park and campsite were just too waterlogged to use.
