They had been waiting since 11 a. for the Pecun Festival a Chinese celebration with boat races lion and dragon dances and “”free”" ducks.

The award ceremony held at the Shanghai Grand Theater was a star-studded event with Gong Li Jackie Chan and many other luminaries of the silver screen walking the red carpet. The German production is a tragicomedy that tells the story of three sisters who return to their home village to celebrate their mother’s birthday an event that turns out completely different than anticipated. “The film is about planning and the feelings of ordinary people” said director Franziska Meletzky.

Will and Carey Worthy said the Somerset festival was "in the blood" of their one-year-old Ellison William sbourne. Worthy is the name of the farm on which the event is held and sbourne is a family name of godmother Arabella Churchill who books the festival acts. More than 400 children in colourful outfits were moved inside from the steps of the ld Parish Church during Peebles’ Beltane Festival on Saturday. Kerry Woods 11 was crowned Beltane Queen following in the footsteps of her mother Margaret in 1969. The rain did stop later on in the day to allow the parade to go ahead. The decision to move indoors was taken by the Beltane Festival joint-secretaries David Turnbull and Alan Beveridge.
