The films were picked because they meet the festival’s theme Celebrating Cultural Diversity and will compete within five regional categories of Asia Africa Europe North America and South America. The film fest organised by the National Film Development Corporation and Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival Sdn Bhd will be held at the Putra World Trade Centre from Nov 28 to Dec 2. The festival also provides an opportunity for film enthusiasts and those aspiring to be in the film industry to check out an exhibition and symposium at the Cathay Cineleisure in Mutiara Damansara Petaling Jaya. The films competing for Perdana awards include Malaysia’s own entry 1957: Hati Malaya.
