Goa to host first legal electronic dance festival

He has been producer for Glastonbury?s dance stages over the lastdecade. This time the producer who has also worked with BruceSpringsteen and Nelly Furtado is a consultant for Sunburn Goa 2007 scheduledto be held over this weekend. The organizers flash him as one of their trumpcards over the last music festival Goa saw the Big Chill in April. This is the second two day festival that India and Goa morespecifically will see in 2007.

Code Ends here –>. 26Thiruvananthapuram (PTI): Plays noted for their presentation and acting talent from across the country would feature in the national theatre festival to be held here from December 26 to January 1. Information and Public Relations Department of Kerala government is conducting the festival in co-operation with the Kendra Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. Eight plays displaying the newest trends in theatre would be staged at the Tagore theatre. `Sudratapaswi’ by Kannada director Basavalingayya would be the inaugural show. `Gumayi’ (Balwant Thakur) `Zindagi Retire Nahin Hothi’ and Khuli Hawaki Talish (G S Chani) `Quick Death’ (Sankar Venkateswaran) `Supermarket’ (J Shylaja) `Tritiya Jadda’ (Probir Guha) and `Evam Indrajith’ (Jaydev Hattamgadi) are the other plays to be staged at the seven-day festival.

Aswin on Friday met representatives from the army air force and navy as well as Bangkok city hall officials to discuss emergency response preparations in case of any emergency in the capital. A joint administrative centre to prevent disruptions and to respond in case of any incident was set up at Metropolitan Police Headquarters as a contact centre to receive information from the public he said.
