Chinese leaders attend Lantern Festival party

com | 02-22-2008 13:36 China celebrated the last day of its New Year on Thursday with what’s known as the Lantern Festival. At the same time Chinese leaders joined top intellectuals at a party to mark the end of the holiday. The CPC Central Committee held the reception on Thursday to celebrate the Chinese traditional Lantern Festival.

After the howls of complaint from local residents that followedrecent shows at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl St Jerome’s was keen toget residents involved in their festival which is expected toattract up to 5000 indie music fans and will expand from the grungyCaledonian Lane into Lonsdale Street. You can’t beat them so the residents are joining them byrunning a sausage sizzle at the festival to raise money for theirbody corporate explained festival organiser Danny Rogers.
