Most of Fandoqlu is covered with daisy flowers in late spring which distinguishes it at this time of year the director of the Ardebil Cultural Heritage Tourism and Handicrafts Department (ACHTHD) said on Tuesday. The medicinal qualities of daisy flowers and the region?s tourist attractions will be introduced during the event Yahya Naqizadeh added. Ardebil holds 16 festivals annually to promote the province he explained. Although the first edition of the festival was regional it was warmly welcomed by more than 5000 visitors he noted.

The BNP will hold its annual summer festival in Denby for the second time from 15-17 August. Last year the Red White and Blue festival of “Britishness” was held at the same place near Belper. On Tuesday night about 60 protesters gathered in Ripley Market Place at a meeting between Amber Valley Borough Council and the BNP. There were about 20 police officers at the location and the area around the council chamber had been cordoned off.
