Southern Illinois Music Festival opens fourth season

So he took what he’d learned and started his own series the Southern Illinois Music Festival. The three-week festival’s fourth season opens Thursday with more than 50 performances in widely scattered venues: from Carroll to Cairo Murphysboro to Marion from Robinson (on the eastern edge of Illinois) to Cape Girardeau (in the Missouri Bootheel) and one incursion into St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church on the Hill).
