Hanukkah the Jewish Festival of Lights begins at sundown on Sunday and lasts eight days. A festival of religious freedom and national survival Hanukkah commemorates the Jewish Maccabees' military victory over the Greek-Syrians more than 2000 years ago and the rededication of the Second Temple which had been desecrated.

Kennedy had 11 each putting St. John’s into the title game of the Holiday Festival tournament at Madison Square Garden against Virginia Tech. Ryan Schneider scored 14 points for the Red Foxes (3-7). He put Marist up 12-10 but St. John’s answered with a 13-0 run to take command.
