‘I’ve had a few such chances having gone to college with a player who is thriving in major league baseball and having covered a high school hoopster who is a 20-minute-a-night center in Atlantic Coast Conference. That’s one of the beauties of the NHSCA High School Basketball Festival at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center and Wicomico High School over this long holiday weekend. With 39 teams there are as many as 50 Division I prospects taking to the floors of Salisbury and we all get a chance to say “I saw him play when he was dominating in high school. “Two of those players would be Walbrook’s Roscoe Smith and Nichols School’s William Regan.
